Troy man charged with having sex with 14-year-old

TROY, N.Y. - A Troy man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly having sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl.

New York State Police say 52-year-old Brian Scott Messer, of 622 4th Street, was arrested at his residence on a search warrant for repeatedly engaging in sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl. He is charged with Rape 2nd-degree and Criminal Sex Act 2nd-degree for engaging in oral sexual contact with the same girl.

He was also charged with Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor for allegedly sending material of a sexual nature to the child via computer.

Messer has been remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail without bail.

The State Police in Brunswick are asking that anyone with any information on this case or on any other potential victims contact them at 518-279-4427.
