Young man arrested for robbing a convenient store in New Baltimore

NEW BALTIMORE, N.Y. - 20-year-old Joshua Lopez was arrested for robbing an X-Tra Mart Convenient Store early Monday morning.

Lopez entered the New Baltimore store wearing a ski mask and gloves, and stole $611.00 from the store's safe.

He was unarmed, and the female clerk on duty during the 3:30 a.m. robbery was not injured.

Lopez was arraigned before Town of Cairo Justice Lee Miller and remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

The New York State Police were assisted in this investigation by the Greene County Sheriff's Department and the Greene County District Attorney's office
