-Have flashlights with fresh batteries
-Charge your cell phone, text to conserve battery life
-Set refrigerator/freezer to coldest setting
-Take out some cash
-Fill your gas tank
Trish says: "Stock up on baby/childrens breastmilk/formula/dry milk etc"
Lynn says: "Make sure clutter is off the floor"
Elizabeth says: "Have your emergency numbers handy, as well as enough of your medications on hand in case you must go a few days without being able to re-fill."
Natasha says: "Fill up the bath tub wih very hot water"
Angelika says: "invest in corded phone, will work in power outage, your cell phone charge doesn't last forever and some people don't have a car to charge their phone."
Chris says: "Fill your propane tanks to cook on the grill after the storm if there's no power"
Frances says: "Please remember to bring all pets inside"
Cynthia says: "Buy or prepare Bags of ice for coolers and/or fir keeping temps consistent in the fridge."
Marie says: "fill bathtubs with water for flushing"
Dales says: "Move your cars and trucks away from trees even if you have to go park in mall parking lot not underground parking as that can flood."
Kimberly says: "Have already prepared foods"
Tracy says: "Water and food for pets."
Jennifer says: "Fill 5 gal. buckets with water if you are on a well, so you can use it to flush your toilets."
Lisa says: "Fill baggies with water and stick them in all of the interstices in your freezer."
