ALBANY, N.Y. - Saturday morning, Albany City Hall opened its doors for the first wave of applications for residential parking permits in downtown Albany.
Applications for residential parking permits are available on the Albany City website and also physically in the City Clerk's Office.
Applications for Zones B and C were accepted on Saturday, October 27th between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, November 3rd, applications for Zones A, B and C will be accepted between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
The third and final date for registration is Saturday, November 17th, during which time, applications for permits throughout Zones A, B and C will be accepted.
Zone A includes the largest area affected by these parking permits, including Washington Park, Center Square, Park South and Hudson/Park neighborhoods.
Zones B and C include The Mansion, Pastures and Ten Broeck Triangle neighborhoods.
No permit will be issued to anyone who has outstanding parking tickets.
The system will be in effect Monday through Friday (except for legal holidays) from 8:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m.
