
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy announced Halloween trick-or-treating in the City will be officially observed on Wednesday, October 31st from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the earlier hours for younger children.
Mayor McCarthy asks that all trick-or-treaters conclude their door-to-door visits prior to 8 p.m. and all residents turn off their porch lights and stop handing out goodies at this time.
The Schenectady Fire Department will be supplementing Halloween festivities by handing out candy, activity books and fire safety information at all four of its locations: Station 1: 360 Veeder Ave, Station 2: 1515 State St, Station 3: Third Ave, Station 4: Avenue A and Nott Street.
