Five families must vacate Cohoes apartment building

COHOES, N.Y. - Five families have less than 24 hours to leave their apartment on Hart Street in Cohoes.

The notice to vacate came after code inspectors with the city inspected the building after a small fire. They cited cracks in the structure and problems with the back porch.

The mayor says the building is structurally unsound, and it's up to the landlord to fix the problems - but tenants say he's been MIA and now they're being forced to pack up and leave.
