ALBANY, N.Y. - As sandy approaches, National Grid is focusing on two things, Preparation and response.
National Grid President Ken Daly told NEWS10 that based on lessons learned from Irene, they have a good strategy in place for storms like Sandy.
That includes activating reserve employees and targeting their efforts to the right areas.
Following Tropical Storm Irene, Daly says it's critical for crews to get power restored to the places people go to for shelter first, such as fire houses and churches.
