SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Schenectady
Police Department executed a raid at a Congress Street home Wednesday morning, leading to one arrest and recovery of over $40,000 in narcotics.
The Special Investigations Unit, assisted by the Special Operations Unit, executed a search warrant at 722 Congress Street resulting in the arrest of 27-year-old Christopher Smith, of that address.
Investigators recovered over eight ounces of cocaine with
an estimated street value in excess of $40,000, and $5,410 in cash.
Smith is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance first-degree and third-degree, both felonies, and is being held in city lockup.
