GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – The Gloversville school board plans to file a petition asking the state to remove Board President Peter Semione.
Semione is accused of misconduct, consisting of what board members call an "unspecified coverup, constant non-communications, and threatening fellow members."
The board voted 5-3 Monday night to file the petition.
Semione denies allegations of misconduct, accuses board members of executing a power play to try to get him to resign.
Semione, who has been on the board seven years, was elected president in July.
