Reservoir State Park gets $6M in upgrades

Posted:

NIAGARA, N.Y. (AP) - A Niagara County park has gotten a $6 million facelift.

New York state parks officials and representatives from the New York Power Authority will cut the ribbon Tuesday on improvements at Reservoir State Park.

Part of the 133-acre park overlooks NYPA's Robert Moses Power Plant Reservoir, a favorite fishing spot. Funding for the park improvements came from the federal relicensing of the power project, which is about 4 1/2 miles downstream from Niagara Falls.

Tuesday's ceremony takes place at 11:30 a.m. at the new winter pavilion.
