Man and girlfriend shot in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Police in Schenectady say a couple reported that they had been wounded by gun shots on State Street on Saturday night.

Police say the call came in around 11 p.m. after the 26-year-old male victim was shot in the hand and his 23-year old girlfriend was shot in the stomach at a home at 1311 State Street.

They have been hospitalized at Albany Medical Center, and their injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.
