Great Escape to hold cockroach eating contest

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. - The Great Escape theme park in Queensbury is holding a cockroach eating competition this Saturday.

The Crunch for Creeps cockroach eating contest will offer free admission to the new Saloon of Darkness, daily tickets and season passes for the participants who consume one or more giant, live, three-inch hissing cockroaches.

The event is scheduled to take place Satuday, Oct. 20 at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
