Man, 71, charged with sexually abusing minor

TANNERSVILLE, N.Y. - State police say a 71-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a minor.

On Tuesday, the New York State Police along with Ulster County Sheriff's Office, Police Department and Child Protective Services arrested 71-year-old Newcomb Dunham Jr. of Tannersville for the misdemeanor charges of Sexual Abuse 3rd-degree, Forcible Touching and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Police say Dunham was arrested after an investigation revealed that he touched a minor child in a sexual manner. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Ulster Court later this month.
