Police: 2 dead in upstate NY car accident

NEWARK VALLEY, N.Y. (AP) - State police say two people have been killed in a car wreck in upstate New York.

Troopers say 54-year-old Lucinda Klees of Endicott was driving in the Tioga County town of Newark Valley when she crashed into a bridge guide rail at about midnight.

She and a passenger, 34-year-old Patrick Ackley of Berkshire, were declared dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Newark Valley is 16 miles west of Binghamton.
