TROY, N.Y. – City officials in Troy adopted a new city hall Monday.
Troy Mayor Lou Rosamilia held a press conference to formally announce the relocation of City Hall to the Hedley Building at 433 River St.
The city has spent the past couple of weeks moving everything to the new offices from their temporary location, the former Verizon building on Sixth Avenue.
The search for a new city hall had been a contested issue within the Collar City for a couple of years after its occupants were forced to leave the prior permanent home, near the city's riverfront, due to deteriorating conditions.
