SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - New York State Police have arrested two people they say are responsible for running weekly illegal Texas Hold'em poker games in Saratoga Springs.
Investigators with the state police along with the Saratoga Springs Police Department executed a search warrant after a two-month investigation at 77 Van Dam Street, Room 14, in the City of Saratoga Springs last Friday.
This location is where 44-year-old Joseph McTiernan, of Gansevoort, and 27-year-old Arthur Wexler, of South Glens Falls, were running illegal Texas Hold'em poker games, taking place on Monday and Thursday evenings.
State police say they seized approximately $3,000 in US currency, poker chips, playing cards and poker tables.
McTiernan and Wexler are both charged with promoting gambling in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, and issued appearance tickets for a later date.
