TROY, N.Y. - At 1:41 a.m. on Friday morning, Troy Police patrols were dispatched to the New Turnpike Elementary School at 55 New Turnpike Road for a burglary alarm.

Upon arrival, patrol units tactically deployed around the school, setting up a perimeter immediately after locating an open door.

Shortly after their arrival, the officers encountered three males exiting the building through a ground level door.

One of the subjects was in possession of a laptop computer which he had stolen from the school.

It was determined that the suspects illegally entered the building through an exhaust fan-port for a bathroom in the building.

Arrested and charged with Burglary, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Possession of Burglary Tools, Petit Larceny, Conspiracy, Criminal Mischief and curfew violation were three seventeen year olds of Troy: Joshua Evans, Christian Brennan, and Joseph Meyer.

The three defendants were arraigned in Troy Police Court Friday morning and released pending a future court appearance.

Arrest photos are being withheld at this time.
