Road advisories and closures for this weekend

CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. - Motorists are advised of the following lane closures during this weekend and next week:

-The Twin Bridges: The northbound bridge carrying the Northway (Interstate 87) over the Mohawk River will be closed and traffic will be crossed over to the southbound bridge until noon on Sunday, October 14th.

-Interstate 90: On Saturday, October 13th, two lanes will be closed westbound between exits 8 and 6A from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., to accommodate work on the bridge carring Washington Avenue over I-90.

-Albany Shaker Road: On Saturday, October 13th, one lane will be closed in each direction between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for an inspection of the bridge carrying the Northway over Albany Shaker Road.

-Interstate 787: From Monday, October 15th through Thursday, October 17th, two lanes will be closed northbound and southbound at Exit 8 from 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. to accommodate work on the Congress Street bridge.

-Balltown Road: On Monday, October 15th and Tuesday, October 16th, Balltown Road will have alternating one-way traffic between Consaul and Kensington roads from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. due to pavement repairs.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
