SOUTH GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - Police in South Glens Falls arrested a man for allegedly strangling a female victim and stealing cash from her.
Police say they responded to the parking lot of 19 Chestnut Street for the report of an assault around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday. It was then they learned 36-year-old Questor French, of Gilmore Avenue in Queensbury, had allegedly dragged the 25-year-old female victim from her car, placed her in a choke hole and stole approximately $270 from her.
French fled the scene prior to officer's arrival. The
victim was acquainted with French, police say, and was able to identify him.
She suffered minor injuries, was treated at the Glens Falls Hospital and released.
French
was located by officers around 8:50 p.m. Saturday night and was charged with Strangulation 2nd-degree, Assault 2nd-degree, and Robbery 2nd-degree. He was remanded to the Saratoga County Jail
with no bail due to at least two prior felony
convictions.
