Many tour USS Slater during long holiday weekend

ALBANY, N.Y. - In honor of Columbus Day, the USS Slater will open to the public for tours on Monday and Tuesday.

The USS Slater, a World War II Destroyer Escort Historical Museum, is usually closed on Monday and Tuesday, but will reopen for those days this week.

The historic ship will remain open through November 25th.

Tours on Tuesday are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for kids.
