Giant 25-pound sundae shared by community members to celebrate local 'Make-A-Wish' anniversary

COHOES, N.Y. - In celebration of the 25th anniversary of 'Make-A-Wish Northeast New York,' local Wish Kids, families, volunteers and supporters, will gather to share an actual 25-pound sundae at 12:00 noon on Sunday, October 7th.

The "Sundae of Wishes" will be hosted by Stewart's Shops, outside of their shop at 875 New Scotland Road, near Whitehall Road.

The giant sundae, provided by Stewart's, will be served in bite-sized portions until it's gone.

"A 25-pound sundae is a great way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of 'Make-A-Wish' locally," said chapter CEO William C. Trigg III. "In fact, the nearly 100 or so small sundaes will illustrate roughly how many wishes we grant each year to seriously ill children in Northeast New York."

There is no charge for a serving of the sundae, while it lasts, though donations to support the mission of 'Make-A-Wish' are appreciated.
