
CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. - On Sunday, October 7th, the 30th Annual Mohawk Hudson River Marathon will take place from 8:30 a.m. through 2:00 p.m.
Local roads in Schenectady, Niskayuna, Colonie, Cohoes and Watervliet will be affected.
Although these roads will be open to vehicular traffic (with the exception of those noted below), drivers are asked to avoid using these routes during the posted times (which are approximate) or use extreme caution, as runners will be using the shoulder of these roads.
The following roads will be closed during the listed bracketed times:
City of Schenectady
-Bradley Boulevard to Duck Pond Road (8:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.)
-Duck Pond Road to Iroquois Way (8:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.)
-Central Parkway between Iroquois Way and Ptl Arthur Chaires Lane (8:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.)
-Ashmore Avenue/ Fehr Avenue from Londonderry to Union Street (8:30 a.m. - 8:50 a.m.)
Town of Niskayuna
-Palmer Avenue between Union Street and Grand Boulevard (8:35 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.)
-Grand Boulevard between Palmer Avenue and Van Antwerp Road (8:35 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.)
-Van Antwerp Road from Grand Boulevard to River Road (8:35 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.)
Town of Colonie
-Island View Road from the bike path entrance to Dunsbach Ferry Road (9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)
-Dunsbach Ferry Road between Island View Road and the entrance to the bike path (9:30 a.m. - 11:40 a.m.)
City of Cohoes
-Alexander Street (8:50 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.)
-Lincoln Avenue between Alexander Street and Bridge Street (8:50 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.)
-Bridge Street between Lincoln Avenue and Route 32/ Saratoga Street (completely closed to traffic from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
-Route 32/ Saratoga Street between Bridge Street and 21st Street in Watervliet (8:50 a.m. - 12:50 p.m.)
City of Watervliet
-21st Street between Route 32 and Broadway (9:00 a.m. - 12:50 p.m.)
-Broadway between 21st Street and 4th Street (9:00 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.)
