Police: Thief steals less than $3 worth of good from supermarket

MAYFIELD, N.Y. - State police say they responded to the Johnstown Hannaford for a shoplifting complaint on Thursday afternoon around 2 p.m.

Upon arrival, Hannaford asset protection informed police they observed the suspect, Jamie Fellows, take merchandise valued at $2.89 and leave the store without paying for it.

Fellows was charged with Petit Larceny and released with an appearance ticket for the Johnstown Court.
