Troopers discover drugs, paraphernalia in disabled car

ALBANY – While troopers were assisting a disabled vehicle on I-90 in traffic at Exit 6, they reportedly found both drugs and other drug paraphernalia.

On September 29, 2012, after assisting the disabled vehicle out of traffic, troopers spoke with the occupants of the vehicle and then discovered four bags of cocaine, a scale, and clear plastic baggies all contained in a black plastic bag in the vehicle.

A purse was also found in the vehicle which contained a glass marijuana pipe and a clear zip lock bag of marijuana.

The operator of the vehicle, Nicole Kvinlaug, 22, of Rensselaer, was charged for Unlawful possession of marijuana.

Her passenger, Thomas W. Boniface, 28, of Albany, was charged with Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd-Degree, a felony, Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th-Degree, a felony, Criminally using drug paraphernalia in the 2nd-Degree, a misdemeanor, and Unlawful possession of marijuana.
