EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. - East Greenbush Police have arrested a motel owner they say had forced sexual contact with a female guest staying at his motel.
Police arrested Arun Patel on Wednesday after he allegedly grabbed a 21-year-old female's breasts without her permission. The alleged incident occurred on Tuesday when the victim was staying at Patel's motel, the Econolodge, at 110 Columbia Turnpike in East Greenbush.
Police say Patel went to the victim's room to advise her and her friends that they had rented a non-smoking room. It was during this time that Patel, who was described as being loud, threatening and drunk, committed the act.
He has been charged with Forcible Touching, and Sexual Abuse 3rd-degree.
