Voters share their thoughts as presidential candidates face-off

SCHENECTADY, NY -- It's the first time voters like Melissa Hughes watched president Barack Obama and former Massachussets Governor Mitt Romney square off on the national stage. "A lot of sniping at each other, it's fun to watch," Hughes commented during the debate.

Hughes is a teachers, on the night the the first presidential debate she brought her three kids to watch it live on the big screen in the GE Theatre at Proctors.  Hughes paid close attention to both candidates answers of educations and taxes during the 90 minute showdown. "Me being a parent," Hughes explained. "I'm concerned about how I'm going to pay for college for all three of them."

As Obama and Romney sized-up each other, Ed Morlan sized-up their stance on social security and medicare.  He is still undecided on who he is going to vote for come November. Morlan said,"Seems to me they are talking in circles."

Morlan says even after hearing their answers during the debate he's still unsure who he'll vote for in five weeks.

Proctors is planning to broadcast the live vice-presidential debate on October 11 at the GE Theatre.
