GUILDERLAND, N.Y. - State Police say a Colonie man has been arrested after he allegedly has sexual contact with two females without their consent then threatened to kill one of the females if she told police.
Investigators with State Police have arrested 40-year-old Michael Derarakelian after they allege he had sexual contact with two females without their consent and when one of the
females stated she was going to contact the police about the incident,
he threatened to kill her and burn her house down.
The investigation
further revealed that Derarakelian contacted numerous females in the Albany County area
through unsolicited text messages and would inquire if the females were
interested in working as nude models or as escorts, police say.
According to police, he would conceal his
identity using fictitious names and restricted phone numbers.
Derarakelian has been charged with Criminal Sex Act 3rd, Sexual Abuse 2nd, and Aggravated Harassment 2nd and released to the supervision of the Albany County Probation Department.
