SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Police in Saratoga Springs say they located missing 16-year-old Angel Williams-Guynup late Thursday night in Albany.

Williams-Guynup went missing from the Kayderossas House on Kirby Road around 9 p.m. on Saturday night. She was located on Central Avenue in Albany around 11 p.m. Thursday.

Initial indications were that she may have been lost in the woods near the city line in the area of Route 29 in Saratoga Springs. Local authorities searched the area during early morning hours on Sunday. New York State Police Aviation Unit also helped with the search.

Information was then discovered she was likely not in a wooded area and the search was suspended.

After being located, Williams-Guynup was transported back to the police department where she was charged with one count of Falsely Reporting an Incident, a misdemeanor. She was being held in the Saratoga Springs City Jail until arraignment on Friday morning.

The charge stems from Williams-Guynups' false report to police that she was lost in the wooded area near Route 29, leading to the initiation of an intensive ground search that included numerous resources from various local and state agencies.
