Bear spotted near Queensbury's Prospect School

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. - The Queensbury Union Free School District issued a note to parents Monday, stating that there has been a bear sighting on Aviation Road near Prospect School around 9:00 a.m.

The district says as a precaution, students will not be allowed outside for classes or recess during the day Monday.

As long as there are no other sightings by Monday afternoon, after-school practices and games will proceed as scheduled.
