WAWARSING, N.Y. - At approximately 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, a personal-injury automobile accident occurred in the Town of Wawarsing injuring three people.

Injured in the crash were 40-year-old Mark A. Criddell of South Fallsburg, 82-year-old Shirley M. Mathews, of Accord, and an 11-year-old child in Mathews' vehicle.

Deputies and members of the New York State Police responded to a report of a head-on collision.

Investigation revealed that Criddell was travelling north on Route 209 in his 1997 Ford and Mathews was travelling south on Route 209 in her 2008 Toyota.
