Police: Young man stabbed in Saratoga Springs

SARATOGA SPRINGS -  A young man remained in the hospital Sunday night after being stabbed multiple times early that morning. Police said they were still looking for the suspect responsible.

It happened around 1:20 a.m., when Saratoga Springs Police said they responded to a report of a 24-year-old male who had been stabbed multiple times.

The victim was treated at the scene by Saratoga Springs Fire Department personnel before being transported to Albany Medical Center, where the victim was treated for non-life threatening stab wounds.

Police believe that an altercation occurred between two groups of males inside the Paddock Lounge on Caroline Street.

All parties were removed from the bar by employees of the establishment.

The altercation then continued on the street to the west side of Broadway across from Caroline Street where the stabbing occurred.

The suspect in the stabbing is described as a Hispanic male approximately 20-30 years of age, about six feet tall with short dark hair and wearing a grey thermal long sleeve shirt and jeans.

He was last seen running from the scene with several other males, north on Broadway towards Church Street.

Police are investigating the incident and ask anyone who may have been in the area and observed the altercation or who may have any knowledge of the suspect to contact them at (518)584-1800 or anonymously on the TIPLINE at (518)584-TIPS (8477).
