Intoxicated Queensbury driver leaves a property damage accident

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. - Susan M. Dalton, 48, of Queensbury, was arrested for driving while intoxicated late Friday night, after she committed a hit-and-run property damage accident.

The accident occurred near the corner of Midnight Drive and Aviation Road in the Town of Queensbury.

No one was injured in the accident.

While investigating the scene, a license plate was found in the debris.

The license plate was checked and came back and led police to Dalton, at a nearby address.

Further investigation found that Dalton was driving the vehicle from Glens Falls to her home in Queensbury, when she struck a fence at a private residence with her vehicle, and then continued home.

Dalton was found to have B.A.C. of .18%, which is more than twice the legal limit.

Dalton was charged with Aggravated DWI and cited for other traffic infractions.

She was released, pending arraignment in the Town of Queensbury Court at a later date.
