
SCHENECTADY - The Schenectady Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that left a city man dead. It occurred in front of 65 Elm Street, at approximately 2:38 a.m. Saturday.
Officers responded to the area, following the report of an unresponsive male, and located the victim outside of the residence.
The victim was treated on scene by member of the Schenectady Fire Department and subsequently transported to Ellis Hospital, Nott Street campus, where he later succumbed to his wounds.
The identity of the victim is not being released at this time, pending notification of next of kin.
There is no suspect in custody at this time.
The incident is being investigated by members of the Detective Division and Evidence Tech Unit.
