ROTTERDAM, N.Y. - Rotterdam Police, who recently reported a complaint of a man approaching children at a school bus stop, say after talking to the man they do not believe he is a threat.
Rotterdam Patrol Officers were able to locate the vehicle and subject in question Thursday morning. The subject is a local resident who states he had just stopped to speak to the children at the bus stop about a few bicycles he saw down the road because he thought they may belong to the children.
The Rotterdam Police Department says they believe there was no attempt of abduction or any other overt threat made towards the children and has no reason to believe that the subject had any ulterior motive at this time.
The Mohonasen School District as well as the original complainant have been made aware of the result of this investigation.
