Posted:

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. - On Tuesday, September 4th, the Gloversville Police Department began investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred during early morning hours.

The female victim told police that she was approached by two unknown suspects around 5:00 a.m. on the rail trail near the Animal Shelter, between West Pine Street and West Fulton Street.

The victim told police she was punched in the head from behind by one suspect while the other grabbed her hair. The suspects took off with her money and cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

A surveillance photo was captured from the Animal Shelter of four people walking by right before the attack.

The Gloversville Police are asking for assistance in identifying all four subjects for an interview as they may have information related to the incident. The gray sweatshirt may have a "suicide silence" emblem on it.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Gloversville Detective Division at 773-4505 or 773-4502. The information can be left anonymous.
