NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. - After a month-long investigation, the North Greenbush Police Department has arrested a man they say stole more than $7,500 worth of Lottery tickets from a local store.
Police were notified in late August of the missing lottery scratch off tickets from the Snyder's Lake Market. During the course of the investigation it was determined that there were 17 books of tickets in various denominations missing, totaling more than $7,500.
After interviewing numerous suspects, police say 26-year-old Lloyd Thomas Jr., of Poestenkill, admitted to taking the tickets, activating the books and cashing the winning tickets at several different locations.
Thomas Jr. is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd-degree.
