GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - NBA star and Glens Falls native Jimmer Fredette is coming home Monday to promote his new book, "The Contract."
Fredette played for Brigham Young University before turning pro with the Sacramento Kings last year. The 23-year-old is hosting a number of events in the area on Monday to promote his new book.
At noon, Fredette will be in his home town at the Glens Falls Civic Center. He is donating new uniforms to the Glens Falls High School basketball team, in addition to warm-up "shooting shirts" and new sneaks.
He will also be donating $40,000 to the Glens Falls School District and will donate a shirt to every student in the school system in honor of integrity week.
He will then be signing copies of his new book "The Contract" from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Barnes and Noble in Colonie Center.
"The Contract" is a look at Fredette's life, from his early days on the court to his time at BYU where his stand-out play landed him a spot on the Kings. "The Contract" will be officially available on store shelves on September 21st, but copies will be available at Monday's event.
