ATHENS, N.Y. - At approximately 10:38 a.m. on September 15th, a fire occurred at 9645 Route 9W in Athens.
A neighbor called 911 to report that flames were shooting from the complex.
The West Athens Lime Street Fire Company were the first responders.
Wind caused nearby power lines to drop, but the power lines did not cause an obvious obstruction.
It took around two hours for the fire to be extinguished.
There was extensive damage to the garage, and exposure but no damage to the house.
