ALBANY, N.Y. - Police have arrested an Albany man Thursday morning after he was allegedly caught driving in a stolen car.
Officers responded to Lexington Avenue and Orange Street
just before 3:30 a.m. after a man called stating that someone had just stole
his car. The victim told officers that he went into his friend's home briefly and
when he came out someone had stolen his 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Police say the vehicle was stopped shortly after the incident and the driver, 22-year-old Amir Stevens, was taken
into custody without incident. He is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd-degree and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
Stevens was also arrested on August 19th after an officer caught him stealing a bicycle on Lark Street.
