State Senator Roy McDonald
Saratoga County Clerk Kathy Marchione
TROY, N.Y. - Two days before New York's primary election, incumbent State Senator Roy McDonald will face off against challenger Saratoga County Clerk Kathy Marchione in a debate Tuesday night.
A number of attack ads have been running from both candidates vying for the 43rd District Senate seat that represents voters in Saratoga, Rensselaer and Columbia Counties.
Barbara Bartoletti, part of the non-partisan organization League of Women Voters, says attack ads do nothing but denegrate one another.
The debate will happen at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Russell Sage College campus in Troy.
Marchione, the county clerk since 1997, is challenging the two-term Senator in the Republican Party primary on Thursday.
