Albany police investigating convenience store robbery

ALBANY, N.Y. - The Albany Police Department is attempting to identify two suspects in reference to a robbery at Shahbains Grocery in the City of Albany.

Police say on Saturday, September 8th, the suspects entered the grocery store at 115 Lexington Avenue around 4:30 p.m. and demanded money while displaying what appeared to be a handgun in the waistband of one suspect.

The clerk complied and the suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspects are both described as black males in their early 20's, 5' 7" to 5' 8", 175 lbs. One suspect was wearing a yellow shirt and a baseball cap. The other was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
