Instead of birthday presents, 11-year-old asks for donations to animal shelter

HUDSON, N.Y. - Allie Thorpe of Valatie just turned 11-years-old, but instead of presents, she asked for donations to be made to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA.

Allie and her mother, Barbara, arrived at the CGHS with a trunk load of goodies that she is donating to the animal shelter.

President/CEO Ron Perez says volunteerism is always welcomed at CGHS/SPCA, and thanks Allie for being an awesome example of that.
