September 8th: List of Closures and Changes in Effect due to Severe Weather Conditions
The Fireworks Display scheduled for 8:00 p.m. this evening in conjunction with the Town of Waterford's Tug-Boat Round-Up has been cancelled due to the pending weather and re-scheduled for Sunday, September 9th at 8:30 p.m. at the Visitor's Center.
Out of an abundance of caution based on the current weather forecast, 'Local Legends Live,' scheduled for Saturday, September 8 at the Empire State Plaza, has been cancelled. A new date has not yet been scheduled.
The North Greenbush Hometown Celebration has been cancelled for today due to the severe weather.
The Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival will conclude early today, at 3:00 p.m., in light of pending severe weather conditions.
The Greenport Community day's Fireworks show is postponed until tomorrow (Sunday) night. The Pony Tails will be in concert at 7pm with the Fireworks following at 9 p.m. at Greenport Town Park in the Town of Greenport. The Concession stand will be open.
