EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. - Two out-of-towners are in jail on Friday after allegedly using fraudulent credit cards at Wal-Mart and Target in East Greenbush.
Police arrested Alexandra James and Oyeni Olatokun, both residents of Chicago, after allegedly purchasing close to $5,000 worth of items from the two stores.
Police say their names were on the card, but the victim's bank information was on the strip of the card. The victim was a resident of Jacksonville, Florida.
They committed a similar offense in Bethlehem, and now Bethlehem police, East Greenbush police, along with the U.S. Secret Service and the New York State Police are conducting a joint investigation.
The pair has been charged with Grand Larceny, Identity Theft, Conspiracy, and Possession of a Forged Instrument.
