Assembly candidate signs vandalized with swastikas

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. - The Guilderland Police Department tells NEWS10 two campaign billboards for Assembly candidate William McCarthy Jr. were defaced with swastikas Thursday night.

Police say the vandalism occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday morning.

Guilderland police say the two signs were along Route 155, on the town line with New Scotland, were spray painted with black Nazi symbols.

Police have no suspect leads at this time.
