East Greenbush library budget approved

EAST GREENBUSH, NY - Voters in East Greenbush approved a 2013 budget for the Community Library, and picked two to sit on the library board of trustees on Thursday.

The yes vote for the $1,792,595 spending plan was 330, with 140 voting against. The 2013 budget includes an increase in spending of approximately $43,000, or a 2.39 percent increase. The tax increase is 2.5 percent.

Lisa Fox, with 338 votes, and Michael Poost, with 266, beat Phillip Vecchio with 221 votes, to take the two seats on the board.
