Albany teen stabbed in large fight

ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany police are investigating the stabbing of a 17-year-old Second Street resident Wednesday afternoon on Central Avenue.

Police say just after 3:00 p.m., officers observed a large group fighting in the street on the 400 block of Central Avenue. While investigating, officers learned that a 17-year-old male had sustained a single stab wound to his left side.

The victim was treated at the scene and taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing.
