WESTERLO, N.Y. - A 20-year-old male is in critical condition after the ATV he was riding collided with his father's pick-up truck.
Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple tells NEWS10 the accident happened in the driveway of the family's Westerlo home Wednesday afternoon.
The father, who owns the Agway Hilltown Farm and Garden on Route 32 in Westerlo which shares a driveway with the home, was driving in his pick-up truck when the vehicle collided with the four-wheeler his 20-year-old son was driving in a bend in the driveway.
The son, whose name has not been released, was immediately air-lifted to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries. Officials say he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The father received no injuries.
Apple says state police are investigating the accident.
