
ALBANY, N.Y. - The nominees for the 2012 Country Music Awards were announced Wednesday morning in Nashville and New York, with one of the nominations going to Kevin Richards of WGNA in Schenectady.
This is Richards' fifth CMA nomination for Medium Market Broadcast Personality of the Year, and could be his second win, with the first coming in 2006.
Richards, a native of Corinth, is celebrating 26 years in Country Radio, and is currently heard weekdays on 10am-3pm on WGNA with a popular Classic Country Show airing on Sunday Mornings. In addition, Richards is also a writer for TasteofCountry.com.
The CMA Awards will air Nov. 1 on ABC hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
