POWNAL, VT - Vermont State Police Shaftsbury received a call on Monday for a stabbing on Chickadee Dr. in Pownal.
It was determined through investigation, Brian Lemaire, 32, and Tommy Himes, 38, engaged in two physical altercations within a short period of time. The first was a fist fight and in the second, Lemaire stabbed Himes in the side, with a knife he obtained from his home.
Lemaire fled the scene, but the knife was recovered. A K-9 and VSP personnel search was unsuccessful in locating Lemaire. Himes was transported to SWVMC with non-life threatening injuries.
